Our staff is infant and child CPR certified, Shaken Baby Syndrome trained and SIDS trained so you can be assured your child is in a safe environment. We are dedicated in helping your child reach their educational potential and are sensitive to your child's unique needs.
Meet the Owner

Chatterbox Learning Center, LLC is proudly owned and operated by Colleen Steinbruecker, a passionate early childhood professional with more than 25 years of experience working with children and families. Her background includes roles as an assistant teacher, lead teacher, center director, 3K/4K teacher, substitute teacher, trainer, and early childhood consultant.
Colleen holds an Associate Degree in Child Development and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to creating safe, nurturing, and engaging environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
In addition to leading Chatterbox, Colleen has dedicated many years to supporting families and child care programs throughout the community through nonprofit leadership and family resource services.
Her vision for Chatterbox Learning Center is simple: to provide high-quality child care where every child feels valued, every family feels supported, and every day is filled with learning, laughter, and care.
Staff Bios

Alyssa Hemb
Wolf Classroom / Assistant Director
Alyssa Hemb is a devoted mother with a passion for baking, which she channels into a small side business. Her favorite children’s book is Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? She is soon graduating with an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Alyssa has spent nearly seven years working in child care—all of them at Chatterbox. She loves being part of the Chatterbox team because everyone is treated like family.

Annie Roeber
Owl Classroom
Annie Roeber is a mother of three. Her oldest recently joined the Army, her second is preparing for college, and her youngest is nearly in high school. Her favorite children’s books are Goodnight Moon and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Annie has completed her early childhood certification and is CPR certified. She has spent the past three years working in child care—all of them at Chatterbox. Annie loves witnessing children’s milestones, building strong relationships with families, and supporting each child’s growth and learning.

Lily Schipper
Squirrel and Wolf Classrooms
Lily Schipper discovered her passion for child care at a young age. She grew up helping her family care for younger relatives and began babysitting at 16. Her favorite children’s book is Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type. Lily is currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education at Lakeshore Technical College and has been part of the Chatterbox team for just over a month. She loves reading to the children in her care and enjoys the excitement and energy they bring each day.

Heather Grunewald
Float
Heather Grunewald is the mother of an eight-year-old son. She enjoys doing art projects with the children in her classroom and fostering their creativity. Heather is a lead teacher and has been working in child care for nearly eight years—all of them at Chatterbox. She finds joy in watching the children grow, learn, and discover new things each day.

Nicole Mueller
Float
Nicole Mueller is hard of hearing and loves to sing. She enjoys Don’t Push the Button books, bubbles, and lively dance parties. A dedicated lead teacher, Nicole has spent three and a half years in child care—all of them at Chatterbox. She loves working with children and watching them grow.

Elisheba Sippel

Elisheba Sippel loves spending time with her family and enjoys going camping. Her favorite children’s book is Teeny, Tiny Mouse: A Book About Colors. She is currently working toward an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education. Elisheba has four years of child care experience, including nearly a year and a half at Chatterbox. She enjoys working with children and helping them learn and grow.

Grace Versey
Squirrel Classroom
Grace Versey is an avid reader who finishes a new book every two to three days. Her favorite children’s book is The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. A dedicated lead teacher, Grace has one and a half years of child care experience—all of it at Chatterbox. What she enjoys most about being at Chatterbox is the way everyone comes together to care for the children.

Samantha Sukup
Fox Classroom
Samantha’s favorite children’s activities are playing with Kinetic Sand and building with Magna-Tiles. She has four years of child care experience, all of which she has spent at Chatterbox. Samantha enjoys spending time outdoors with the children in her care and building positive relationships with parents.

Nicole Zastrow
Float Lead
Nicole Zastrow loves spending her free time outdoors—whether she’s fishing on the water, hunting in the woods or riding the trails in her side-by-side. Her favorite children’s book is Pete the Cat. Nicole is a lead teacher with six years of child care experience, including four at Chatterbox. She enjoys building meaningful connections with all the children in her care.

Donna Binversie
Chipmunk Classroom
Donna Binversie comes from a large family, with five sisters and four brothers. Her favorite children's author is Eric Carle. Donna holds an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education and has worked in chid care for 19 years, including 12 years at Chatterbox. What she loves most about working at Chatterbox is the opportunity to build strong bonds with children and their families, knowing she is helping lay the foundation for their future education.

Dakota Kohlman
Badger Classroom
Dakota has been working at Chatterbox for the past 2 years and truly loves being part of the childcare community. Growing up, Dakota was surrounded by childcare because her mother worked in child care centers, which inspired her passion for working with children from an early age.
Dakota is a proud mother, and understands how important it is for families to feel confident and comfortable with the people caring for their children. Dakota lived in Florida before making Wisconsin her home.
In her free time she enjoys reading and relaxing with a good cup of chai tea. She loves creating a fun, caring, and supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and feel loved everyday!

Ashley Beck
Float
Ashley is a creative and caring individual who enjoys expressing herself through art and imagination. Whether she's painting pottery with friends, sketching in her sketchbook, or working on fun art activities with the children, she always makes time for creativity. Ashley also has a strong love for reading and is always excited to discover a new book. She especially enjoys sharing that passion with the children by reading stories aloud in the classroom and helping inspire a love for learning and imagination!
